Music saved me when I was at my darkest. When I felt alone and like no one was hearing me. I used to sit in my room for hours, just singing to myself, letting the flame inside me grow. That flame became Spyro. Music isn’t just sound to me. It’s my lifeline, my truth, and the way I heal.

what role did music play?

My younger brother, @trayomerta, battled a speech impediment, yet rapped with flawless fire. Watching him, I knew I couldn’t waste the voice I was given — there was no way I could sing and not chase this gift.  In high school, I met some brothers who helped me shape my first demos — rough, raw, and far from perfect, but their belief lifted me up. Their faith became fuel, pushing me to rise, to grind, and to never stop.

how did you start?

In 2021, after deep reflection and facing my darkest doubts, I made the choice to own my purpose and step into my power. Music wasn’t just a dream anymore — it became my mission.  Since that moment, I’ve been all in, grinding every day to make my mark.

when did you pursue music?

aside from my passion for music, it's always been difficult for me to express myself. with music, i'm able to unapologetically say exactly what i want, however i want. more importantly, i'm able to connect people from around the world who feels the same way as me, making them feel less alone.

why do you make music?

My music is for the fighters — the ones who’ve felt pain, loss, and loneliness but keep pushing forward. It’s for the hearts that love hard, the souls that heal through every scar. For anyone who’s been locked down by life but refuses to stay quiet.  If you’ve ever felt misunderstood or like the world’s against you, my music is your anthem.

who is your music for?

Born in Chicago and shaped by long nights and louder thoughts in places like Waukegan, Zion, and Champaign. I’ve never stayed in one place too long, but the feeling of being misunderstood always followed me. Now I’m in Atlanta, still healing, still building, still writing my way through it. Music became my therapy, my escape, and the one place I never had to lie. Every song is a piece of where I’ve been — the heartbreak, the growth, and the parts of me I thought I lost.
