German-Kurdish artist, Kaso, uses a blend of Flamenco-guitar and Alternative R&B / Funk to craft his own sound. The young talent has also been influenced by the dance style Krump, which manifests throughout the energy at his live performances. Kaso harnessed his creative abilities of singing, songwriting and dancing to make his music and live performances come into fruition. For this purpose, he formed the backing band The A-Teem. Having moved to Los Angeles, California at the age of 23 made another impact on his world view which has transpired into his music. Kaso has been known for neither fitting into the typical German nor the typical Kurdish immigrant stereotype.  Kaso represents the new youth: The generation that goes beyond the boundaries of stereotypes to meet somewhere in the middle. Through his genre-defying Flamenco and Funk sound, Kaso gives a voice to his boundary-defying generation.
