Beaming cosmic rays from the rustic hills of Southern California, Friends of is the solo project of Topanga Canyon native Zeke Reed. A classically-trained cellist who started branching out into other genres in high school,  Zeke started using Ableton Live during college to make what he calls "psychedelic space disco."  Zeke continues to incorporate his eclectic musical background into genre-bending, multi-instrumental arrangements that transport minds to the edges of the galaxy. His indie-rock-inspired, dance-floor ready sound merges with his love of vintage Americana, the Southwest, the ocean, space, and psychedelics. He lives in a 1971 Airstream but hopes to one day settle down on a big plot of land near the Mariner Valley on Mars where he can finally don a cowboy hat atop his space helmet.
